With the new flexmls system that we have for the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS), we have the ability to pull market statistics in new ways. I am now able to pull market data for a specific city and will be doing that and sharing that with you monthly. Today's graphs are for Chandler.
The good news is that the total number of residential listings for sale 
has been going down steadily. It is necessary for this to happen in order to bring the market back into balance. We have dropped from 2940 in July 2007 to 2308 in July of 2008. This represents approximately 7 months of inventory currently on the market down from a peak of over 14 months of inventory in September 2007.
